The Visual Comfort Utopia Round Flush Mount is a ceiling and wall-mountable fitting designed by Kelly Wearstler, part of the Visual Comfort Signature Collection. It features a low-profile circular structure with a wide, flaring outer rim in hand-carved striated metal — a dense, organic texture drawn from the topographic landscapes of the Californian coast. The central diffuser is white glass with a subtle fractured, web-like internal pattern that softens and distributes light broadly across the space. IP20 rated, it is suited to dry interior environments including hallways, kitchens, and living rooms.

The design is deliberately artisanal: the combination of deeply textured metal and fractured glass creates a high-contrast, sculptural presence that functions as much as an object of interest as a light source. It is available in three finishes — Gild, Aged Iron, and Plaster White — and two sizes. The Medium measures 35.6cm wide with a 27.94cm round canopy; the Large extends to 50.8cm wide with a 43.2cm canopy. Choose based on ceiling height, room scale, and the visual weight you want the fitting to carry.

The Medium version uses two E14 candelabra sockets (the small screw-fit base common in decorative fittings) accommodating up to 60W each — lamp type and inclusion should be confirmed at point of order. The Large uses a dedicated integrated LED source rated at 45W and 3600 lumens, meaning no separate lamp is required. Both sizes are IP20 rated (suitable for dry interior zones only) and are not supplied with a remote driver or dimmer as standard — dimming compatibility should be verified before installation. The central finial securing the glass shade is removable, allowing access for maintenance on the Medium version.
