The Visual Comfort Tawa Rechargeable Table Lamp, designed by Sean Lavin, answers each of these practical questions cleanly. It carries an IP65 rating, making it appropriate for covered and semi-exposed outdoor zones. Touch control cycles through brightness levels, so you can dial in a soft ambient warmth for a dinner setting or step up to brighter illumination when you need it. Battery life runs to 12–14 hours per charge, with a full recharge taking around 5 hours via the included USB-C to USB-C cable and wall charger.

The design draws on a traditional lantern silhouette, reinterpreted through contemporary materials. A cylindrical body combines a solid metal base, a metal top cap, and a vertically fluted glass section that runs the full height of the lamp — the ribbing diffuses light in all directions and gives the piece its distinctive character. A large semi-circular arched handle sits at the top, making it genuinely easy to carry from room to terrace and back. The Tawa is available in three finishes: Black, Natural Brass, and Matt White.

No additional driver or wiring is required — the lamp is self-contained and arrives ready to charge and use. The wall charger is included in the box. Its IP65 rating means it can remain outdoors in most conditions, though we'd always recommend bringing any lamp inside during extended periods of heavy rain or salt-laden coastal wind.
