The candle-style socket is intended to house a single upward-facing bulb. As a lamped decorative fitting, the lamp type and any dimming compatibility should be confirmed at specification stage — particularly if the fitting is to be used on a dimmer circuit, as lamp choice will determine dimmer compatibility. The IP22 rating confirms suitability for standard dry indoor locations only; it is not suitable for bathrooms or humid zones.
