The Visual Comfort Star Flush Mount, designed by Eric Cohler, is a surface-mounted light fixture that functions equally as a flush ceiling light or a decorative wall light. Its asymmetrical multi-pointed star form is constructed in metal with each ray shaped from joined triangular facets that meet at a pointed apex — creating a faceted, three-dimensional geometry that produces a varied play of light and shadow across its surface. A central socket houses a single exposed bulb, making the light source a deliberate part of the aesthetic rather than something to hide.

The star's asymmetrical arrangement of rays at varying lengths gives it a dynamic, modern quality — a geometric reinterpretation of a classic motif rather than a literal one. The fixture is available in Antique Burnished Brass or Bronze, both suited to warm, layered interiors where material detail is part of the design language.

This fixture carries an IP20 rating, meaning it is suitable for dry interior spaces only — bedrooms, living rooms, hallways, home offices, dining rooms, and similar environments.
