The Visual Comfort Pertica Wall Light, designed by Kelly Wearstler for Visual Comfort, addresses both. A spherical diffuser with an organic, marbled off-white texture — characteristic of alabaster or natural stone — sits mounted on a vertically oriented, stadium-shaped metal backplate. The contrast between the tactile, organic sphere and the clean geometric plate is intentional: Wearstler's signature tension between the elemental and the refined. The off-centre placement of the sphere toward the upper portion of the backplate creates an asymmetric visual balance that reads as considered, not accidental.

The Pertica is available in two finishes: Mirrored Antique Brass and Mirrored Bronze. Both work across a wide range of interior palettes — from warm Mediterranean tones to cooler, more restrained schemes. The reflective quality of the mirrored finish adds depth to the metal surface without overwhelming the organic texture of the diffuser.

The Pertica carries an IP20 rating, meaning it is suitable for dry interior locations — living rooms, bedrooms, hallways, and hotel corridors — but not for bathrooms or areas exposed to moisture.
