Visual Comfort Marie Flanigan Bathroom Wall Light

Bathroom lighting is where specification mistakes are most visible — literally. Poorly chosen vanity lighting creates uneven shadows across a mirror, harsh glare, or a finish that clashes with everything else in the room. Getting it right means choosing a fitting that distributes light evenly, suits the zone, and complements the overall design intent.

For wall-mounted vanity lighting, two things matter most: light distribution and placement. A diffused source — one where the light source itself is hidden behind frosted glass or acrylic — eliminates harsh spots and spreads illumination evenly across the face. IP22 is the minimum protection rating required for Zone 2 bathroom use (areas more than 60cm from a water source, such as beside or above a mirror), offering protection against dripping water.

The Visual Comfort Marie Flanigan Bathroom Wall Light is a slim, linear vanity fitting designed by American designer Marie Flanigan for Visual Comfort. Its elongated cylindrical body houses a white frosted diffuser that delivers soft, even light — ideal for mirror-side or over-mirror placement. The IP22 rating confirms it is suitable for standard bathroom wall positions. Polished metal end caps with tiered, stepped detailing add a subtle architectural character that sits comfortably between Art Deco refinement and contemporary minimalism.

The design is symmetrical, allowing either vertical or horizontal mounting to suit your layout. The slim, low-profile form integrates cleanly into modern and minimalist bathroom schemes without competing with other design elements. It is available in two finishes: Polished Nickel and Soft Brass — each bringing a distinct warmth or coolness to the overall palette.

The fitting carries an IP22 rating, confirming suitability for Zone 2 bathroom locations. It is wall-mounted via an integrated backplate. Please confirm lamp type, driver or transformer requirements, and dimming compatibility with us before specifying — we will ensure every component of your installation is correctly matched before anything leaves the warehouse.
