The Visual Comfort Palati Small Sconce, designed by Ian K. Fowler, answers those questions directly. Its semi-cylindrical body of deeply fluted opal glass diffuses light evenly across its textured surface, producing the kind of soft, rhythmic ambient glow that reads as warmth rather than illumination. Dark metal bands cap the top and bottom, grounding the form and providing a considered contrast to the creamy white glass. The Palati is rated IP20, making it suitable for dry interior spaces.

The design carries a clear architectural character — vertical fluting with a sculptural, Art Deco-inflected quality that sits equally well in contemporary and classic interiors. The Palati is available in Bronze or Hand-Rubbed Antique Brass, and in Small or Large sizes, so it can be scaled to suit anything from a narrow corridor to a generously proportioned living space.
