The Visual Comfort Nyra Pendant, designed by Sean Lavin, resolves both challenges. A series of contoured translucent vertical fins radiates outward from a perforated metal core housing an integrated vertical LED strip — a technique borrowed from industrial design that suggests a full volumetric form while retaining visual lightness. The CRI 90 light source renders colours with accuracy, and the diffused fin construction softens the output into a warm, atmospheric ambient glow rather than a harsh point of light.

The contrast between the matte metal hardware — canopy, downrod, and central core — and the ethereal translucent shade panels is precisely what gives the Nyra its contemporary, art-object quality. The Nyra is available in Nightshade Black and Plated Brass, and in Small and Large sizes, allowing the fitting to be scaled appropriately to the ceiling height and room proportion.

As an integrated LED pendant, no external lamp selection is required. Confirm dimming compatibility and any driver requirements with your supplier at the point of specification to avoid surprises during installation. Suspension height is adjustable via the rigid downrod, and the cylindrical ceiling canopy provides a clean, minimal attachment point.
