For outdoor wall lights, proportion and light distribution matter as much as aesthetics. A bidirectional fitting — one that sends light both upward and downward across the wall surface — creates depth and ambience that a simple downward-only fitting simply cannot. The material quality of the diffuser also plays a larger role than most expect: thin plastic diffusers can yellow and crack outdoors, while solid, substantial diffusers hold their appearance over time.

The Visual Comfort Lyft Outdoor Wall Light, designed by Sean Lavin, addresses this directly. Part of the Visual Comfort Signature Collection — a line developed in close collaboration with some of the most respected names in lighting design — the Lyft delivers a bidirectional wash of light from two solid, thick clear diffusers separated by a central matte black metal band. The result is a clean, crystalline up-and-down glow that brings real presence to an exterior wall surface. CRI is rated at 80, meaning colours and materials in the light's reach are rendered with reasonable fidelity.

Visually, the Lyft is defined by its slim vertical backing plate, geometric precision, and an absence of visible hardware on the primary face. The central lighting element sits slightly asymmetrically within the composition, giving it a modern, considered quality rather than a symmetrical architectural cliché. The matte black finish on the metal components is smooth and non-reflective. The fixture is available in Small and Large sizes, allowing it to be scaled appropriately to the wall area and surrounding architecture.

The Lyft is an integrated LED fitting; no lamp replacement is required during normal service life. Please note that no IP rating has been declared in the current data — we recommend confirming suitability for your specific installation zone and exposure conditions with us before specifying, particularly in coastal or high-humidity environments common in Spain.
