The Visual Comfort Lineham Table Lamp, designed by Aerin Lauder, is available in two sizes with meaningfully different technical profiles. The Large uses two E27 keyless sockets with a line switch, taking up to 60W each â€” suited to a fixed position on a sideboard, console, or generous bedside. The Small is a self-contained rechargeable unit with a built-in touch dimmer, running at 1.7W (60â€“250 lumens), with a custom LED lightsource and charging cord included. Both are rated IP20, appropriate for interior dry locations.

The design is characteristically Aerin: a monolithic cylindrical alabaster base â€” with the organic veining and tonal variation inherent to natural stone â€” set on a brushed brass footing and stem, crowned by a wide drum shade in textured linen. Because alabaster is quarried and cut rather than cast, no two bases are identical. Available in Alabaster and Crystal & Hand-Rubbed Antique Brass appearances, and in Large and Small sizes.

For the Large, two E27 lamps are required (not included); a warm-white LED bulb at 2700K will complement the ivory and gold palette well. The Small arrives with its rechargeable LED module and charging cord â€” no additional components needed. Both versions are IP20 Class II, meaning they are suitable for general interior use in dry areas only.

What is the difference between the Large and Small Lineham?

The Large is a corded lamp with two E27 sockets and a line switch, requiring mains connection. The Small is a rechargeable, portable unit with a built-in touch dimmer and its own LED module â€” no hardwiring needed.

Are lamps or bulbs included with the Large version?

No. The Large requires two E27 bulbs, which are not included. We recommend warm-white LED bulbs at 2700K, up to 60W equivalent, to suit the alabaster and linen palette.

Can I dim the Large Lineham table lamp?

The Large uses a line switch rather than a built-in dimmer. Dimming would depend on the bulbs used and any external dimmer switch in the circuit. The Small version has a built-in touch dimmer as standard.
