The Visual Comfort Elsie Table Lamp, designed by Kate Spade, is a cordless accent lamp built around that premise. At 64.8cm tall with a 40.7cm drum shade, it has real presence. The base is a generously proportioned sphere in cream reverse-painted glass — a technique where colour is applied to the interior of the glass, giving it depth and a clean outer finish. Metallic components including the neck, collar, and finial are finished in a warm brass tone, and the lamp sits on a slim square pedestal base. IP20 rated, it is suitable for dry indoor environments.

The design is characterised by contrasting textures: a high-gloss spherical base against a tactile linen drum shade. The overall palette — cream, white, and warm brass — works comfortably across traditional, transitional, and contemporary interiors.
