For a fixture like this, the key decisions are colour temperature and driver configuration. Colour temperature (CCT) determines whether the light reads warm and intimate or slightly crisper and more neutral — 2700K sits at the warmer end, ideal for dining and bedroom environments, while 3000K offers a touch more clarity. The Visual Comfort Collier Pendant, designed by Sean Lavin, addresses both. It uses integrated LED modules — meaning the light source is built into the fixture and does not require a separate lamp — housed within twelve faceted, translucent alabaster glass segments manufactured in the Czech Republic. With a CRI of 90 (a measure of how accurately colours are rendered under the light, on a scale of 0–100), it performs well in spaces where material finishes and textiles matter. The fixture carries an IP20 rating, suitable for dry interior environments.

Visually, the Collier is unmistakable: a vertical column of faceted, bead-like stone forms suspended from a circular ceiling canopy, resembling an oversized strand of jewels. Because the alabaster is a natural material, each segment carries its own unique veining — no two fixtures are identical. The hardware is available in Hand-Rubbed Antique Brass or Polished Nickel, and the integrated LED can be specified at either 2700K or 3000K to suit the ambience of the space.

The Collier is available with remote or surface-mounted driver options — remote mounting keeps the canopy clean and compact, while surface-mounted suits installations where ceiling void access is limited. The fixture is designed for IP20 dry interior zones.
