The Visual Comfort Collier Chandelier, designed by Sean Lavin, answers these decisions with considered precision. A flexible, illuminated strand of spiralled, ribbed glass beads is swagged between two ceiling points in a catenary curve — evoking a jewellery collier rather than a conventional chandelier frame. CRI of 90 (a measure of how accurately light renders colour, where 100 is perfect daylight) ensures the materials around it — stone, timber, textile — read as intended. Rated IP20, it is specified for interior dry spaces.

The design's minimalist two-point mounting system creates the impression of a suspended string of pearls, with clear glass beads and polished metallic spacers catching and diffusing light along the full length of the strand. The flexible construction allows the drape depth and width to be adjusted during installation, giving some control over how the fixture sits in the room. It is available in Natural Brass or Polished Nickel finishes, and in two colour temperatures — 2700K or 3000K — with four variants in total across these options.

The Collier is a hardwired ceiling installation. Two mounting points are required: a circular canopy at the primary connection and a smaller terminal cap at the secondary point. Neither lamps nor a driver are confirmed as included; installation and electrical requirements should be confirmed at point of specification. As an IP20 fixture, it is suitable for dry interior environments only — not for bathrooms or covered outdoor areas.
