The E27 socket — a standard screw-fit bulb fitting — means you have full control over light output, colour temperature, and dimming by choosing an appropriate lamp. The line switch built into the cord keeps operation simple without requiring wall control.

The Visual Comfort Cliff Table Lamp, designed by Aerin Lauder, pairs a solid cylindrical marble base with a generously proportioned drum shade measuring 43.2cm across. Metal accents in a warm brass finish sit at the base plate and neck, bridging stone and textile with quiet elegance. The drum shade diffuses light evenly into the room while directing a warm pool downward onto the surface below — well suited to bedside tables, console surfaces, or a home office desk where both ambience and task clarity matter.

The Cliff is available in two marble finishes: Black Marble and Brown Marble. Each carries the natural veining inherent to the stone, meaning the finish you specify will be unique in its exact patterning — a quality that suits bespoke residential interiors particularly well.

The lamp operates at IP20 — rated for dry interior use, suitable for bedrooms, living rooms, and home offices, but not for bathrooms or covered outdoor areas. The E27 keyless socket accepts bulbs up to 100W (always check your chosen lamp's wattage). No driver is required; the lamp runs directly from a standard mains socket. If dimming is important to your scheme, ensure your chosen E27 bulb is dimmable and that any in-line or wall dimmer is compatible with it — the lamp itself does not include a dimmer.
