The Visual Comfort Choros Chandelier, designed by Barry Goralnick, addresses this directly. Its defining feature is a fluid, undulating circular base frame — a wave-like form that moves between minimalist structural geometry and something altogether more sculptural. Six candle-style lamp positions sit atop white cylindrical sleeves, each cradled in a shallow brass-finished bobeche (the traditional saucer-like cup beneath a candle bulb). Three slender rods converge at a central canopy hub, with an adjustable chain allowing hang height to be set during installation. The contrast between the dark charcoal frame and the warm, reflective brass accents creates a considered visual balance — neither purely traditional nor aggressively contemporary.

The Choros is available in an Aged Iron finish, combining a dark tonal frame with antique brass detailing — a combination that works particularly well against warm plaster, natural stone, and aged timber finishes common in Spainn interiors. With only two variants in the range, specification is straightforward.

The Choros carries an IP20 rating, suitable for dry interior locations — dining rooms, living areas, hallways, and double-height spaces. It is a lamped fitting, meaning the candle-style bulbs are separately sourced; this gives you control over colour temperature and dimming compatibility at the lamp stage. Visual Comfort recommends confirming dimmer compatibility with your chosen lamp type before installation. The fitting is not supplied with lamps.
