The Visual Comfort Catena Pendant is a vertical linear pendant designed by Sean Lavin. Its structure is composed of five rectangular metal-framed segments, each housing a thick, faceted crystal block, linked by hinge-like joints to create a spine-like drop. Integrated LEDs sit behind the crystal inserts, which refract and scatter light with a fine, sparkling quality. With an IP20 rating, it is suited to dry interior environments. CRI is rated at 90, ensuring high colour fidelity in the spaces it occupies.

The Catena is designed around contrast — the weight of dark, architectural metal framing set against delicate, luminous crystal. Its extremely tall, narrow profile makes it a natural choice for double-height spaces, stairwells, or as a sculptural centrepiece above a dining table or kitchen island where verticality reads as intention, not accident. The Catena carries an IP20 rating, meaning it is designed for dry interior use only — not suitable for bathrooms or covered outdoor spaces.
