The Visual Comfort Carola Wall Light, designed by Aerin Lauder, resolves both with care. A bowl-shaped White Strié glass shade — strié referring to the subtle, organic streaked texture within the glass — diffuses light softly and evenly, with each piece carrying its own natural variation. The metal components are available in Polished Nickel or Hand-Rubbed Antique Brass, both executed with the quality of finish that Visual Comfort's American-made heritage demands. The design combines a circular wall backplate with a straight horizontal arm and a block-like bracket supporting the shade — geometric in its logic, considered in its proportions.

The juxtaposition of sharp structural lines and the soft, organic curves of the glass bowl is what gives the Carola its character. It reads as modern but not cold, decorative but not fussy. The White Strié glass is the only shade option, and it's the right one — its stone-like texture ensures no two pieces are identical. Available in Polished Nickel or Hand-Rubbed Antique Brass.

The Carola is rated IP20, making it suitable for dry interior spaces such as hallways, bedrooms, living areas, and hotel corridors. It is designed for interior wall mounting and accepts a standard lamp via an internal socket within the glass bowl.
