The Visual Comfort Calais Chandelier, designed by Niermann Weeks, is a large-scale decorative ceiling fixture built around a striking feather and glass-rod motif. Six upward-facing candle-style lamps sit at the base of sweeping arms, each constructed from densely packed clear glass rods held within a fine wire framework. This approach to texture — organic and sculptural rather than faceted and formal — sets it apart from traditional crystal chandeliers. The frame is rated IP20, suitable for dry interior environments such as dining rooms, entrance halls, and living spaces.

The design sits confidently in what could be called a transitional coastal-glam aesthetic: the clear glass rods refract and scatter light to produce a shimmering ambient effect, while the frame's burnished metallic finish offers a muted, slightly antiqued luster — more nuanced than polished silver, more restrained than gold. The Calais is available in two finishes: Burnished Silver Leaf and Gilded Iron.

The chandelier is suspended via an adjustable chain from a circular ceiling canopy with a multi-strand spreader, allowing height to be set during installation.
