One of the most common mistakes with linear pendants is getting the proportion wrong — a bar that is too short looks lost over an island, too long and it dominates the space. Add the question of hanging height, and what should be a straightforward specification decision can quickly become a source of doubt.

For elongated fixtures like this, the guiding rule is proportion: the fixture length should be no more than two-thirds the length of the surface below. Hanging height matters too — too low and it intrudes, too high and the light loses its intimacy. Overall hang height reaches 116.8cm with a minimum custom drop of 45.7cm, giving real flexibility across different ceiling heights.

Wearstler's design language here is deliberately restrained: a slim cylindrical bar suspended by two slender rods from a long rectangular canopy, with the LED source integrated cleanly into the underside profile. There is no visible bulb, no bulky housing — just a precise metal line of light. The fixture is available in three hand-applied finishes: Polished Nickel, Bronze, and Antique-Burnished Brass, each carrying the tonal depth and craft quality that Visual Comfort's Signature Collection is known for.

The fixture uses a dedicated integrated LED — there is no separate lamp to source or replace. At 9.1kg, it requires a suitably rated ceiling box and ideally a second pair of hands during installation. The rectangular canopy measures 11.4cm x 112.4cm and is finish-matched to the bar. Custom hanging heights are available, which is worth noting early if ceiling heights are non-standard. IP rating is IP20 (Class I), meaning this is a dry-room fixture only — not suitable for bathroom zones or covered exterior use.
