An integrated, concealed source — one that washes light rather than exposes a bulb — creates depth and atmosphere rather than a hotspot. CRI, or Colour Rendering Index, measures how accurately a light source renders colour; at CRI 90+, materials and finishes read as the designer intended.

The Visual Comfort Anton Wall Light, designed by Sean Lavin, answers that brief directly. Its 'frame-within-a-frame' geometry uses a forward-projecting rectangular outer frame housing a contrasting inner panel, with the light source integrated and concealed to wash the interior and backplate with an indirect glow. With a CRI of 90 and an IP20 rating — suitable for dry interior locations — it is built for considered residential and hospitality specification.

The Anton's two-tone construction pairs a textured matte black metal structure with a brushed or satin gold inner panel, creating a sophisticated contrast that reads as a focal point whether the light is on or off. The open-frame design prevents a heavy silhouette while allowing multidirectional light distribution. The Anton carries an IP20 rating, confirming it is intended for dry interior zones only — not suitable for bathrooms or exposed outdoor areas.
