Visual Comfort Adley Floor Lamp

Choosing a floor lamp that works as hard as it looks is harder than it sounds. Get the proportions wrong and it overwhelms the room; get the reach wrong and the light lands in the wrong place entirely. The Adley is designed to avoid exactly that — its cantilever arm and adjustable stem let you position the light where it's actually needed, not just where the base happens to sit.

For task and ambient floor lighting, reach and directionality matter as much as aesthetics. A cantilevered arm extends the shade horizontally over a reading chair or work surface while the base stays clear of the furniture below. The opaque rectangular shade directs light downward — focused, not scattered — making it well suited to reading, occasional work, or anchoring a seating area with purposeful warmth.

The Visual Comfort Adley Floor Lamp is designed by Suzanne Kasler, whose work with Visual Comfort consistently bridges traditional proportion with architectural restraint. The Adley is built from metal throughout, with a square low-profile base, a two-section telescopic vertical stem with a locking adjustment collar, and a fixed horizontal cantilever arm terminating in a trapezoidal shade. IP20 rated, it is suited to dry interior environments — living rooms, studies, and bedroom reading zones.

The Adley's design language is composed entirely of geometric forms and right angles, creating a minimal, architectural silhouette that holds its own in considered interiors without competing with them. It is available in two finishes: Bronze and Hand-Rubbed Brass — each bringing a distinct character, from warm depth to artisan-crafted luminosity.

As a floor lamp, the Adley does not require a separate driver or transformer. Lamp compatibility and bulb type should be confirmed at point of specification — contact Lightsource Mallorca for current lamp recommendations and dimmer pairing guidance. IP20 rating confirms suitability for interior dry zones only; it is not appropriate for bathroom or outdoor installation.

At Lightsource Mallorca, we stock and specify Visual Comfort because it consistently delivers on both design intent and build quality — without requiring a compromise between the two. Whether you are working through a full interior specification or selecting a single statement piece, we can confirm lamp compatibility, lead times, and finish samples to keep your project moving with confidence.
