The Stilnovo Trepiu Pendant Light is a design by Gae Aulenti and Livio Castiglioni — two figures whose work sits at the intersection of sculptural thinking and functional rigour. The Trepiu pairs a flattened, pebble-like translucent white glass shade with a glossy ribbed collar in a deliberately contrasting finish, suspended on a single fine cable from a compact ceiling canopy. The result is a design that feels both soft and precise. Rated IP20, it is suited to dry interior environments.

The design is offered in four two-tone colourways — Black/White, Chrome/Black, Chrome/Yellow, and Yellow/White — each playing the contrast between the glass shade and the hardware collar differently, from restrained monochrome to warm chromatic pairings.

The Trepiu is a lamped pendant, meaning the light source is a separate bulb installed by the user or installer rather than an integrated LED module. Cable length can be adjusted at installation to suit ceiling height. With an IP20 rating, this fixture is appropriate for dry interior zones only — not suitable for bathrooms or covered outdoor areas.
