Getting dimming wrong — specifying a fixture that needs DALI but connecting it to a standard trailing-edge dimmer — means expensive remedial work after handover. With a pendant this architecturally prominent, that is a risk worth eliminating early.

DALI — Digital Addressable Lighting Interface — is a professional dimming protocol that gives you precise, stable, flicker-free control over individual luminaires or groups from a compatible control system. Unlike phase dimmers, DALI does not interfere with the LED driver and allows smooth dimming curves suited to hospitality and commercial environments. If your project already specifies a DALI control system, this fixture slots straight in. If not, it is worth confirming your dimming infrastructure before ordering.

The Stilnovo Quad is a circular LED pendant designed by Pio e Tito Toso, consisting of twelve square modules in die-cast aluminium arranged in a radial pattern. The integrated LED sources emit indirect light upward toward the ceiling, which then diffuses softly into the surrounding space — creating ambient warmth without harsh direct glare. Rated IP40, it is suited to dry interior environments including reception areas, lobbies, hotel common spaces, and open-plan living areas with medium-height ceilings. The horizontal geometry and wide footprint make it an effective focal point in spaces that need presence as well as light.

The Quad's circular branched silhouette reads as both architectural and decorative — a structured geometric form that holds visual interest from below without competing with the space around it. It is available in White or Black, allowing it to recede into a pale ceiling or stand as a deliberate contrast element depending on the scheme.

The fixture uses integrated LED sources and is dimmable via DALI protocol. Confirm DALI driver compatibility and control system infrastructure with your electrical contractor before installation. The IP40 rating confirms this is an indoor dry-zone fixture — not suitable for bathrooms or exposed outdoor areas. Installation is via suspension cables with a ceiling canopy; confirm ceiling height and desired drop at the specification stage.
