Stilnovo Oxygen Pendant

Pendant specification often stalls at the same question: how do you get even, glare-free light from a decorative fitting without visible bulbs or harsh hotspots? Get it wrong and the fixture that looked so elegant in the render becomes a source of visual discomfort at the dining table or reception desk.

The answer usually lies in the diffuser — specifically how light is spread before it leaves the fitting. Here, Stilnovo's OptiLight Technology uses a PMMA diffuser (a high-clarity acrylic panel) etched with micro incisions around the inner upper ring. These micro incisions redirect the light from the perimeter LED sources, distributing it evenly across the face of the fitting. When the light is off, the texture is almost invisible — which is exactly the point.

The Stilnovo Oxygen Pendant, designed by Pio e Tito Toso, is a ring-form pendant lamp that delivers on both counts: refined aesthetics and engineered light quality. The polyurethane ring shade, suspended by three slender steel cables that double as conductors, creates a composed, floating presence overhead. It carries DALI-protocol dimming compatibility — DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface) is a professional control standard that allows precise, scene-based dimming across multiple fixtures, typically used in higher-specification residential and commercial environments. The fitting is rated IP20, appropriate for dry interior spaces. It was recognised with the Red Dot Award in 2017.

The Oxygen is available in two sizes and four colour combinations: White, Black/White, Yellow/White, and Azure/White — each pairing the inner white ring with a contrasting or tonal exterior. The result is a family of fittings with a single coherent identity that can be tuned to suit the room it inhabits.

As an integrated LED fitting, the Oxygen has no replaceable lamp — the LED sources are built in. DALI dimming requires a compatible DALI-addressable driver and control system; please confirm your dimming infrastructure before specifying. The suspension height is adjustable at installation via the steel cables. IP20 rating confirms suitability for dry interior zones only — not suitable for bathrooms or outdoor use.
