DALI dimming — short for Digital Addressable Lighting Interface — is a professional control protocol that allows individual or grouped fixtures to be precisely dimmed from a compatible control system. Unlike simpler phase-cut dimmers, DALI offers smooth, stable dimming with no flicker, and is the preferred method for high-specification residential and hospitality projects where scene control and energy management matter.

The Stilnovo Oxygen Ring Pendant, designed by Pio and Tito Toso, is built around OptiLight Technology: a PMMA diffuser — a high-clarity acrylic panel — micro-engraved to redirect light from perimeter topLED sources into a broad, even wash. When the light is off, the diffuser appears almost entirely transparent; when lit, it delivers a softened, glare-controlled distribution across the room. The result is a fixture that performs as well as it looks, and carries Red Dot Award recognition from 2017 to underline the point.

The Oxygen family has an unmistakably clean geometry — a low-profile ring form suspended on three slender steel cables that also serve as the electrical conductors, keeping the silhouette minimal from every angle. The shade is constructed in polyurethane and available in four finishes: White, Black/White, Yellow/White, and Azure/White. The two-tone options pair a coloured exterior ring with a white inner and diffuser face. Two sizes are available to suit different room scales and ceiling heights.

The Oxygen pendant is rated IP20, meaning it is designed for standard interior dry locations — living rooms, dining areas, hotel lobbies, and similar spaces. It is not suitable for bathrooms or outdoor use. Dimming is via DALI protocol; ensure your control system or driver infrastructure supports DALI before specifying. Suspension length is adjustable via the three steel cables. Confirm ceiling void clearance and cable drop requirements at the design stage.
