For surface-mounted ambient lights, diffusion quality is everything. A large dome that simply scatters light can still produce visible hotspots or uncomfortable glare — particularly in low-ceiling rooms or hallways where the fitting is close to eye level. Stilnovo's proprietary OptiLight™ technology manages light distribution within the dome itself, producing a uniform, glare-free output rather than a bright centre and dim edges. Dimming compatibility is equally worth planning early: DALI (a digital control protocol used in addressable lighting systems) and phase-cut dimming (the most common type used with standard leading- or trailing-edge wall dimmers) are both supported, but they require different control infrastructure — so knowing which you need before installation saves time and cost.
The Stilnovo Demi LED Wall & Ceiling Light is a flush-mounted surface fitting designed by Mirco Crosatto. Inspired by the geometry of Rome's ancient Pantheon, it translates a classical architectural reference into a thoroughly contemporary form. The Demi's defining characteristic is its pure hemispherical dome — entirely monochromatic white, with no visible fasteners, seams, or surface ornamentation. The minimal circular mounting base creates a subtle visual lift between the dome and the surface, reinforcing the feeling of lightness. The Ø70 designation refers to the 70cm dome diameter, giving it a strong visual presence suited to larger rooms or as a considered centrepiece in more compact spaces. Two variants are available.
The Demi is rated IP40, meaning it is suitable for dry interior environments and not intended for bathrooms or outdoor use. Dimming is supported via DALI or phase-cut control — confirm your control system type before specifying to ensure compatibility with your dimmer or building management infrastructure.
