Quintiesse Voyage Cordless Table Lamp

Finding a table lamp that genuinely works as an object — not just a light source — is harder than it sounds. Most decorative lamps compromise either the art or the function. The Quintiesse Voyage challenges that, arriving as a cordless, rechargeable piece that earns its place on a bedside table, console, or bar top without needing a cable in sight.

Cordless table lamps rely on a rechargeable internal battery rather than a mains connection, which means placement is entirely flexible — no chasing cables, no proximity to sockets. The trade-off is brightness and run-time, so these work best where ambient warmth and atmosphere matter more than task illumination. Here, that is very much the point.

The Quintiesse Voyage Cordless Table Lamp is built around a mouthblown glass base that uses a layered glass technique — blue glass is blown first, amber is added around it, and a final layer of clear glass completes the orb. Where the blue and amber meet, a green effervescence emerges at the centre, giving each lamp its own internal character. Because the process is entirely handmade, no two pieces are identical. A short cylindrical neck in polished nickel hardware connects the glass base to a tapered fabric shade in off-white woven cloth, which softens the light output and reduces glare.

The design balances the organic, fluid quality of the swirled glass — which the image analysis notes as reminiscent of a cased or sommerso glass technique — against the structured geometry of the shade and metal hardware. The result reads as decorative object first, light source second, which is exactly where this product lives best. No finish variants are listed; the polished nickel hardware and art-glass base define the aesthetic as it stands.

The lamp is cordless and rechargeable, meaning no external driver, transformer, or mains wiring is required. Installation is straightforward: charge and place. Quintiesse supply the lamp with a fabric shade and polished nickel hardware included. No additional components are needed to get it working. Because it is a cordless design, it is not suitable as a primary light source but works well as a layered accent within a broader lighting scheme.

At Lightsource Mallorca, we include the Voyage in our curated decorative range because it solves a real specification problem: placing a high-quality light where mains power is inconvenient or impractical, without compromising on form. If you are working on a project in Mallorca and need help positioning cordless accent lighting within a wider scheme — or want to understand how pieces like this sit alongside your dimmable mains lighting — we are here to help you get the full picture right.
