Quintiesse Sortie Brass Cordless Table Lamp

One of the most common frustrations in interior lighting is the tyranny of the socket — beautiful surfaces interrupted by cables, or statement pieces confined to wherever a plug point happens to be. Cordless table lighting solves this, but only when the product is well-engineered enough to deliver meaningful light output and a finish that holds up to scrutiny.

Cordless lamps rely on a rechargeable internal battery rather than a mains connection. That means placement freedom is real — centrepieces, shelving, outdoor-adjacent terraces, or bedside tables without wall plates. The key specification question is recharge method: the Sortie uses a separate charging pad, so the lamp itself remains clean and uninterrupted in use. The integrated LED light source is built in, so there are no lamp replacements to manage.

The Quintiesse Sortie Brass Cordless Table Lamp is a sculptural rechargeable table lamp with an integrated LED source and a frosted opal glass globe that distributes light softly in all directions. The on/off switch is housed in the brass-finished metal base, keeping the control intuitive. The telescoping body adds a considered mechanical detail to what is already a design-forward silhouette.

The form is deliberately elongated — a slender, high-aspect-ratio silhouette that reads as architectural on a surface. The central stem is wrapped in a dark grey faux shagreen texture, evoking the pebbled finish of stingray hide, which sits in high contrast against the smooth brushed brass metalwork at the base and collar details. The opal globe completes the composition with a clean, diffused finish. This is a lamp that earns its place as a decorative object even when switched off.

The Sortie charges via a separate charging pad (not included with the lamp — confirm compatibility before specifying). The light source is integrated LED, so no external driver or lamp sourcing is required. There is no IP rating confirmed for this product, so it should be treated as a dry interior fitting; keep it away from bathrooms or exposed outdoor zones. The 2-year general guarantee applies; note that the anti-corrosion guarantee excludes locations within 5 miles of the coastline.

At Lightsource Mallorca, we help you specify the right product for the right situation — not just the one that looks best on a mood board. The Sortie is a strong specification choice where cable-free flexibility is a genuine brief requirement, and where the decorative quality of the piece needs to justify its placement. We can advise on charging pad compatibility and help coordinate delivery as part of a wider project schedule.
