What does IP66 mean, and is the Mariola suitable for an exposed outdoor terrace?
IP66 means the fitting is fully dust-tight and protected against powerful jets of water from any direction. That makes it suitable for exposed and semi-exposed outdoor positions — not just covered porches. It is a confident choice for Mallorcan terraces, pergolas, and covered outdoor dining areas.

Is a bulb included, and what type does the Mariola take?
No bulb is included. The Mariola uses a standard E27 screw-base LED — the most common lamp format available. You have full flexibility over colour temperature and wattage. For outdoor ambience, a warm white LED (2700–3000K) typically works best.

Do I need a driver or transformer for the Mariola?
No. The E27 socket operates directly at mains voltage, so no separate driver or transformer is required. It wires like a standard pendant fitting.

How long is the suspension cord, and can it be adjusted?
The Mariola comes with 75 metres of suspension cord, which offers significant flexibility for high ceilings, pergola beams, or multi-drop installations. Excess cord can be managed at the ceiling canopy during installation.

What sizes are available, and how do I choose between them?
The Mariola is available in Small and Large. The Large shade is Ø50 cm. As a general guide, larger shades suit bigger open spaces and longer tables, while the Small works well for more intimate settings or where ceiling height is limited. We are happy to advise based on your layout.
