The cylindrical shade is hand-braided from cord made with polyester derived from recycled plastic bottles — approximately eight bottles per lamp — wound across 25 metres of material. An asymmetric cutout at the base of the shade adds an architectural quality that lifts it well beyond a conventional cylindrical form. The supporting frame is white metal, keeping the overall silhouette clean and contemporary.

The Habe reads as a considered decorative object as much as a light source — the contrast between the tactile, organic texture of the braided cord and the minimal white metal base is deliberate and well-resolved.
