Lucide Ruben Floor Lamp

Choosing a floor lamp that works as both a light source and a design statement is harder than it looks. Too many options blur into the same category — a shade, a post, a switch. The Lucide Ruben is different enough to warrant a second look, and clear enough in its design intent to specify with confidence.

For a lamp like this, the key decisions are straightforward: lamp type, light output, and placement. The Ruben uses three E27 sockets — E27 being the standard large-screw fitting found in most decorative and filament bulbs. It is not an integrated LED, which means you choose the bulb, and that means you control the warmth, the output, and the aesthetic. Globe-style filament bulbs complete the look and deliver the ambient glow the design is built around.

The Lucide Ruben Floor Lamp is a Belgian-engineered three-light floor lamp standing 1.20 metres tall. Its matte black open cage frame holds three vertical rods of staggered heights, each capped with a warm metallic E27 socket housing. The open structure allows light to radiate in all directions — no shade, no obstruction — making it well suited to living rooms, dining areas, and bedrooms where ambient warmth matters more than directional task lighting. IP20 rated, it is designed for dry interior use only.

The design sits at the intersection of industrial and contemporary — a geometric cage silhouette with the visual contrast of matte black metalwork against brushed brass-toned fittings. The staggered bulb positions add movement and playfulness to what is otherwise a clean, minimal form. The lamp operates via an in-line cable switch. No additional variants are available; this is a single-configuration product.

The Ruben is a lamped product — bulbs are not included. Three E27 bulbs are required. For the warm, atmospheric effect the design is built around, LED filament bulbs in the 2200–2700K colour temperature range are the recommended choice. The lamp is controlled by an in-line cable switch, so no smart or dimming infrastructure is needed unless the bulbs themselves support it. Being IP20, it must be used in dry interior environments only — not suitable for bathrooms, covered terraces, or anywhere exposed to moisture.
