Choosing a floor lamp that genuinely pulls double duty — ambient fill and focused accent — without cluttering a room is harder than it sounds. Too often you end up with a lamp that looks the part but locks light in one direction, or requires a separate dimmer that may or may not play nicely with what you already have.

For a floor lamp with an integrated LED source, the key things to confirm are the dimming method, the colour temperature, and whether the head can actually be redirected once installed. Integrated LED means no lamp to replace and no compatibility guesswork at the bulb stage — but it also means the driver and dimming control are built in, so understanding what is already included matters before you specify.

The Lucide Gian Floor Lamp addresses this directly. Built from metal with a uniform matte finish, it houses an integrated LED light source running at 2700K — a warm white that supports relaxed, residential ambience. A built-in touch dimmer on the lamp body lets you adjust brightness without any additional control gear or wall dimmer, and a swivel joint on the head allows the cylindrical shade to be tilted and redirected for task focus or accent use. IP20 rated, it is suited to dry interior spaces.

The Gian's silhouette is deliberately architectural: a narrow vertical stem, compact offset head, and flat circular base keep the footprint minimal while the contrast between the matte black exterior and the warm-toned reflective interior of the shade adds a refined detail when lit. It is available in Black and Taupe, making it straightforward to align with both dark and neutral interior palettes.

As a self-contained unit, the Gian requires no separate driver, transformer, or wall dimmer — simply plug in via the 180 cm cable. The touch dimmer is integrated into the lamp body itself. IP20 means it is designed for dry interior zones only. CRI of 80 means colours render reasonably accurately under this light, suitable for general living and accent use though not critical task environments requiring higher colour fidelity.

At Lightsource Mallorca, we include products like the Gian because they reduce specification risk — one decision covers LED source, dimming, and directional control in a single, tested unit. If you are weighing this against other floor lamp options for a project, we can help you confirm fit against your interior scheme, lead times, and delivery requirements.

FAQs

Does the Lucide Gian Floor Lamp need a separate dimmer or driver?

No. The Gian has an integrated LED light source with a built-in touch dimmer on the lamp body itself. There is no need for a wall dimmer or external driver — simply plug it in and use the touch control directly on the lamp.

What colour temperature does the Gian produce, and is it warm or cool?

The Gian runs at 2700K, which is a warm white. This sits at the warmer end of the LED spectrum and is well suited to living rooms, bedrooms, and relaxed ambient settings rather than task-critical or retail environments.

Can I redirect the light beam once the lamp is positioned?

Yes. The lamp head is mounted on a swivel joint, allowing you to tilt and direct the cylindrical shade toward a wall, object, or seating area. This makes it usable as both a general ambient lamp and a soft accent light.

What finishes is the Gian available in?

The Gian is available in Black and Taupe. Both share the same matte metal construction and integrated LED specification — only the exterior finish differs.

Is the Lucide Gian suitable for a bathroom or outdoor use?

No. The Gian carries an IP20 rating, which means it is designed for dry interior spaces only. It is not suitable for bathrooms, covered outdoor areas, or any zone where moisture may be present.
