Lucide Aruba Outdoor Post Light

Lighting a garden path or terrace sounds simple until you're choosing between fixtures that look right but aren't built for the outdoors, or ones that are weatherproof but feel purely utilitarian. The gap between character and capability is where most outdoor lighting decisions go wrong.

For exposed outdoor locations, IP rating is the first thing to check. IP44 means the fixture is protected against solid objects over 1mm and water splashing from any direction — sufficient for garden paths, terraces, and sheltered entrances. Dimmer compatibility is the second consideration: not all outdoor post lights support it, but where it's available it gives you meaningful control over atmosphere at different times of evening.

The Lucide Aruba Outdoor Post Light bridges that gap directly. Standing 110cm tall, it pairs a classic frosted teardrop lantern head — suspended from a shepherd's hook arm — with a clean contemporary pole and flared mounting base. The frosted diffuser softens light output and reduces glare, while the wide circular shade directs light downward to where it's needed. It's rated IP44, making it suitable for year-round outdoor installation, and supports dimmer use so you can dial in the right ambience for the occasion.

The design draws on traditional lantern proportions — the teardrop diffuser and curved suspension arm give it a distinctive profile that sits comfortably in both classic and contemporary garden settings. The Aruba is available in Black or Rust Brown, allowing it to complement a range of outdoor material palettes from painted ironwork to natural stone.

The Aruba is supplied without a lamp, so you'll need to source a compatible bulb separately — check the product specification for the correct fitting type and wattage. The post mounts via a flat circular base plate designed for secure fixing to hard outdoor surfaces such as paving or concrete. If you plan to use a dimmer, ensure your chosen dimmer switch is compatible with the bulb type you select.

At Lightsource Mallorca, we help you match products like the Aruba to the practical realities of your project — right IP rating for the location, right dimming setup for your control scheme, right delivery timeline for your build programme. It's the kind of specification thinking that saves time and avoids costly rework.
