The Lodes Random Solo is a blown glass sphere pendant designed by Chia-Ying Lee in 2020 as part of the wider Random family. The concept isolates a single sphere from the original Random cluster, letting it function as an individual statement or as part of a composed multi-pendant grouping. The light source is housed at the top of the globe, preserving the clarity and transparency of the lower hemisphere. With a CRI of 90 and a choice of 2700K (a warm, intimate tone) or 3000K (a cleaner, crisper white), it performs as well as it reads on a render. IP20 rated, it is suited to dry interior environments.

The glass sphere is suspended on a fine single cable with a small conical cap at the transition point — an intentionally minimal detail that keeps all attention on the form of the glass. Four finishes are available: Clear, Frosted White, Glossy Bronze, and Glossy Smoke, each shifting the character of the piece from airy and transparent to warm and atmospheric. Six sizes exist across the broader Random Solo range, offering flexibility for compositions of different scales.

Important installation note: the canopy is sold separately and must be specified and ordered alongside the pendant.
