Decorative wall lighting often falls into one of two traps: fixtures that dominate a room when unlit, or lights that deliver ambience without any visual interest. Getting both right — form and light quality — takes considered specification.

The Puzzle range from Lodes is built around indirect illumination: the LED source sits on the inner face of the aluminium body, bouncing light off the wall rather than projecting it outward. This wall-washing technique creates soft, graduated light that adds depth and warmth to a surface. Because the light source is concealed, what you see when the fitting is off is pure geometric sculpture. What you see when it is on is the wall itself, gently lit.

The Lodes Puzzle Double Square Wall Light combines two overlapping square panels in a staggered, diagonal arrangement — creating a sense of architectural depth from a flush-mounted profile. The aluminium body is configured to manage heat dispersion from the integrated AC LED source, which delivers 3,500 lm at 2700K or 3,700 lm at 3000K (both at 2 × 16W), with a CRI of 92 and MacAdam 3-Step colour consistency. That CRI figure matters: at 92, colours read true under this light — no unwanted colour shift on wall finishes, artwork, or fabrics. Rated IP20, it is suited to dry interior locations.

The Puzzle Double Square is available in Matte Black or Matte White — two finishes chosen deliberately for their ability to recede into a wall surface, letting the light effect take centre stage. The minimal form sits comfortably in modern, pared-back interiors and works equally well in living rooms, hallways, and bedrooms. When switched off, it reads as considered wall art rather than an obvious light fitting.

The LED source is integrated and included — no separate lamp purchase required. The fitting operates on 220–240V AC and connects directly, with no external driver needed. Rated IP20, installation should be to dry interior zones only.
