Lodes Kelly Pendant

Large pendants are one of the most rewarding — and unforgiving — specification decisions in a project. Scale, light quality, and visual weight all have to work together. Get it wrong and it dominates a room in the wrong way; get it right and it anchors the entire space.

For a pendant of this scale, what matters is how it handles light: where it sends it, where it holds it back, and what it does to the surfaces around it. A solid upper section controls upward spill, keeping the ceiling calm. An open, structured lower section lets light escape laterally in a controlled, decorative way — creating what designers call a chiaroscuro effect, the interplay of light and shadow that gives a room depth and character.

The Lodes Kelly Pendant, designed by Andrea Tosetto, does exactly this. A hemispherical dome splits into two distinct zones: a smooth, enclosed upper half and a complex laser-cut lattice lower half — an irregular, nest-like geometry that casts intricate shadow patterns across surrounding surfaces. An inner glass diffuser conceals the light source, keeping the effect clean and the aesthetic intentional. Available in multiple sizes, it's designed for large-scale residential and hospitality interiors where a single pendant needs to carry the room.

The Kelly is finished in Matt Champagne or White — each lending a different character to the same form. Matt Champagne reads warm and sculptural; White feels architectural and refined. Both allow the cutout geometry to remain the visual focus.

The Kelly carries an IP20 rating, appropriate for dry interior installations — living rooms, dining rooms, hotel lobbies, and restaurants. It is suspended via three fine tension cables with a central electrical cord, providing stability at scale.
