For a pendant like this, the quality of the diffuser material defines the quality of the light. Bohemian crystal — a dense, highly refractive glass with a long-established heritage in decorative lighting — doesn't just look refined; it actively shapes and softens light, creating a warm, layered ambience rather than a harsh point source. The Lodes Jefferson Pendant, designed by Luca Nichetto in 2019, is an interior pendant lamp rated IP20 — suitable for dry, indoor environments. The vortex motif on the Bohemian crystal diffuser draws on 1960s psychedelic art, translated into a contemporary form with a flattened ellipsoid profile and a vertical black hardware frame that anchors the shade and provides a deliberate design contrast. The lamp is suspended on a slim single cable, giving it a characteristic floating quality. Jefferson is available in multiple sizes and compositions, making it adaptable across scales and groupings.

The diffuser finish is available in Black Chrome or Gold, allowing the pendant to read as either a moody, reflective accent or a warm, luminous focal point depending on the scheme. Note that the canopy is sold separately — this allows specifiers to coordinate with ceiling finishes or choose from available canopy options independently.

Jefferson is rated IP20, confirming it is intended for interior dry locations only. As an LED interior pendant, it is designed for LED light sources; lamp and driver requirements should be confirmed at specification stage, as these are not included. Please also note that for units ordered before November 2022 with codes 16821, 16822, 16823-4227, and 5027, Lodes has issued an updated frame — available free of charge directly through the brand.
