Managing glare at source is always the cleaner solution. A glare shield — sometimes called a shroud or hood — physically blocks the light source from direct view in one direction, without reducing the overall light output to the space. The In-Lite SHIELD is a purpose-designed glare shield accessory for In-Lite SCOPE and MINI SCOPE luminaires. Developed by Dutch outdoor lighting specialists In-Lite, it clips securely onto the light housing and orients to block the light source on one side — protecting sightlines without altering the fixture itself. Its asymmetric hooded profile is engineered specifically for this function, and the matte black, fine-grained finish is non-reflective by design, eliminating secondary light scatter from the shield surface itself.

The SHIELD carries a minimalist, architectural silhouette that sits cleanly on the SCOPE family of fixtures. The matte black construction is consistent with In-Lite's design language — low-profile, unobtrusive, and built to disappear into the landscape once installed.

Installation is straightforward: the recessed interior lip seats onto the compatible SCOPE or MINI SCOPE housing securely, and the shield can be removed just as easily if orientation needs adjusting. No additional tools or components are required.
