FAQs

What is the difference between the LIV High and LIV Low?

The two height options are designed to work together in mixed planting schemes. The LIV High suits taller plants and shrubs, while the LIV Low is intended for lower ground-level planting. Using both creates a layered lighting effect across a border.

What does the IP55 rating mean for outdoor use?

IP55 means the fitting is protected against dust ingress and water jets from any direction. This makes it suitable for exposed garden and landscaping environments, including areas subject to rainfall or irrigation spray.

What does CRI 95 mean and why does it matter for garden lighting?

CRI stands for Colour Rendering Index — it measures how accurately a light source renders colours compared to natural daylight. A CRI of 95 is very high, meaning foliage, flowers, and materials will look close to their true colours under the LIV's light rather than appearing washed out or distorted.

Does the In-Lite LIV require a separate driver or transformer?

In-Lite's outdoor range typically operates within a low-voltage system requiring a compatible In-Lite transformer. The transformer is not included with the fitting and must be specified separately. Contact our team to confirm the correct system setup for your project.

Is the LIV available in different finishes?

Yes — the LIV is available in four finishes: Rose Silver, Dark Grey, White, and Corten. Corten develops a natural rust-toned patina over time, making it particularly well suited to naturalistic or coastal landscaping schemes.
