In-Lite DOT 22 Outdoor Ground Light

Specifying ground lights for driveways and garden paths sounds straightforward — until you're on site wondering why the effect looks flat, the spacing is wrong, or the fittings aren't talking to your control system. Getting the details right before installation saves a great deal of remedial work.

For recessed ground lights, the key decisions are IP rating, light quality, system compatibility, and spacing. IP67 means the fitting can withstand temporary immersion in water — essential for any flush ground-level application where pooling is likely. CRI, or Colour Rendering Index, measures how accurately a light source renders colour: 97 is exceptional and noticeably superior to the standard 80 you'll find in many budget fittings.

The In-Lite DOT 22 is a compact, recessed outdoor ground light designed for path and driveway definition. Part of the In-Lite DOT range from the Netherlands, it carries an IP67 rating and a CRI of 97 — delivering crisp, true-colour accent illumination at ground level. It connects via a low-voltage hard-wired cable and is compatible with all In-Lite HUBs, including the SMART HUB-300 for smart-controlled schemes. In-Lite recommend placing DOT 22 units every 1.5 metres for optimum visual effect.

The DOT 22 has a cylindrical, sealed body with a transparent outer sleeve that exposes the internal silver metallic housing — a modern, technical aesthetic that sits discreetly within the surrounding landscape. It is the 22 mm diameter variant of the DOT family; the range is also available in a 60 mm version, and rings in Black, Pearl Grey, and Stainless Steel allow for personalised finishing. Combinable with the larger DOT 60 for playful scale contrast within the same scheme.

The DOT 22 connects to an In-Lite HUB transformer system — the transformer is not included and must be specified separately based on the total load of your lighting plan.
