In-Lite CUBID Outdoor Wall Light

Outdoor lighting at low level — on stair risers, pond edges, or pergola uprights — is one of those details that looks effortless when it works and painfully wrong when it doesn't. Get the light direction wrong and you're blinding people at eye level instead of washing the surface below. Get the IP rating wrong and you're replacing fittings after the first wet winter.

For low-level exterior applications, you need a fixture that directs light precisely downward, sits flush and discreetly on a vertical surface, and carries a sufficient IP rating for exposure to rain and spray. IP55 means protection against dust ingress and water jets from any direction — appropriate for most exposed outdoor positions in Mallorca. CRI (Colour Rendering Index) tells you how accurately a light source renders colour: at 93, the CUBID sits firmly in the high-fidelity bracket, so stonework, planting, and timber all read true rather than washed out.

The In-Lite CUBID is a compact, cube-profiled outdoor wall light from the Netherlands. Built from aluminium with a durable FCBV coating, it emits a warm white bundled beam directed downward — purpose-built for illuminating low walls, stair elements, pond edges, and pergola posts. Its minimalist cubist form conceals the light source entirely, keeping the visual result clean by day and atmospheric by night. A larger version, the BIG CUBID, is also available if the scale of your project calls for it.

The sand-textured metal housing gives the CUBID a tactile, architectural quality that holds up well against rendered walls and natural stone. It is available in three finishes: Rose Silver, Dark Grey, and White — allowing it to sit naturally against a wide range of exterior surface colours and material palettes.

The CUBID is surface-mounted directly onto a vertical plane via its integrated base plate. An extension cable should be considered during installation planning to ensure clean cable routing — particularly relevant where the fitting is positioned away from an existing cable run.
