FAQs

Can I add more light heads to a single Aim unit?
Yes. Each Aim unit comes with one light head as standard. Using the patented modular connection, you can expand to a total of three light heads per unit by ordering separate AIM LIGHT HEADs. The waterproof connection maintains the IP integrity of the system throughout.

What does the killflash do, and can it be removed?
The killflash is a recessed anti-glare element built into each light head. It shields the light source from direct view, preventing dazzle in pathways and garden settings. It is permanently integrated and cannot be dismantled — glare control is built in by design.

What is the IP55 rating, and does it suit outdoor use in Mallorca?
IP55 means the fixture is protected against dust and low-pressure water jets from any direction. It is well suited to exposed garden, pathway, and border installations, including the hotter, windier coastal conditions common in Mallorca.

Which heights are available, and how do I choose?
The Aim is available in three heights: Low (16 cm), High (40 cm), and Extra Large (80 cm). Mixing heights across a scheme creates a layered lighting effect — lower units work well in planting borders, taller ones for path definition or feature uplighting.

Does the Aim work as a standalone product or does it need a transformer?
The In-Lite Aim is part of the In-Lite 12V DC low-voltage outdoor system and requires a compatible In-Lite transformer. When specifying multiple units or adding extra light heads, total wattage load across the transformer must be calculated. We can help with this at Lightsource Mallorca.
