Hinkley Gentry 4-Light Pendant

Choosing a statement pendant for a hallway, dining room, or double-height space often comes down to one question: will it actually work in the room — proportion, drop height, and light quality all considered? Getting that wrong is an expensive mistake.

For lantern-style pendants, the key decisions are drop flexibility, lamp type, and how the fixture diffuses light. Seeded glass — glass containing small trapped air bubbles — softens the output slightly and creates a warm, textured glow rather than a hard point of light. Four E14 candle-base sources spread that warmth evenly around the interior of the lantern.

The Hinkley Gentry 4-Light Pendant is a classically proportioned lantern finished in a dark metal frame with curved glass panels and white candle sleeves. Upward-curving support arms converge at a central hub above, and the whole fixture is suspended on a metal chain from a coordinating round ceiling canopy. At 494 mm tall and 297 mm in diameter, it reads as a considered architectural detail without dominating a space.

Gentry is offered in Pewter and Polished Brass — two finishes that work across a wide range of interior palettes, from Mediterranean rustic to refined traditional. The candle sleeves and coordinating chasers reinforce the classical reference without tipping into pastiche.

The pendant is designed for four E14 candle-style lamps, which are not included. Hinkley note compatibility with the Litec E14 Candle lamp (clear glass) at 4W, 400 lm, 3000 K — dimmable. Drop height is fully adjustable on installation, with a minimum of 600 mm and a maximum of 2124 mm, achieved by modifying the number of chain links used. No driver is required; this is a direct-mains lamped fitting.
