Hinkley Collier Wall Light

Choosing a decorative wall light that holds its own as both a functional fitting and a design statement is harder than it looks. Too many options lean either purely decorative — with little thought for light output — or purely utilitarian, draining the room of atmosphere. The Hinkley Collier sits confidently in the space between.

For a wall sconce like this, the key decisions are straightforward: finish compatibility with your interior palette, the quality of light the shade transmits, and how the fitting will be installed. Hardwired sconces require a wall back-box and electrical connection behind the plasterwork — not a job for last-minute decisions. Lamp choice also matters here; the open-top seeded glass shade is designed around a vintage-style tubular filament bulb, which contributes meaningfully to the warmth and ambience of the light produced.

The Hinkley Collier Wall Light is a hardwired decorative wall sconce from Hinkley's Collier range. It features a clean T-shaped metal frame with a circular backplate, cast knobs, hinges, and stem details in your choice of Heritage Brass or Black Oxide finish. The tall cylindrical shade is crafted from seeded glass — clear glass with small, intentionally trapped air bubbles that give it a handcrafted, artisanal quality and soften the light emitted.

The Collier's mid-century modern silhouette is deliberately restrained: the form is geometric and minimal, but the Heritage Brass finish — with its warm, slightly aged golden tone — and the textural seeded glass prevent it from feeling cold or anonymous. Available in Heritage Brass and Black Oxide, it suits a broad range of interior directions, from relaxed Mediterranean warmth to sharper, more contrasted schemes.

The Collier is hardwired into the wall via its circular mounting backplate. The glass shade is open at the top, allowing upward light distribution and straightforward bulb access for replacement. A vintage-style tubular filament (Edison-style) bulb is included, consistent with the retro aesthetic. Dimensions are H 262mm × W 127mm × P 148mm. No driver or transformer is required. Hinkley offers a warranty of 1–5 years depending on installation context (indoor/outdoor, residential/commercial).
