Feiss Urban Renewal Pendant

Choosing a pendant that carries genuine character without compromising on practicality is harder than it looks. Industrial-style fittings can easily tip into pastiche — all aesthetic, no substance. The Feiss Urban Renewal Pendant is built on a clearer brief: honest materials, considered proportion, and a design language rooted in early 20th-century workshop lighting.

For pendant fittings using exposed Edison-style lamps, the lamp choice is part of the design. The visible filament does real work here — it contributes warmth, ambience, and visual interest alongside the light output. It is worth noting that IP20 is the relevant rating for this fitting, meaning it is designed for dry interior environments only. IP ratings describe a product's resistance to dust and moisture; IP20 suits living areas, dining spaces, bars, and kitchens away from direct water sources.

The Feiss Urban Renewal Pendant is a ceiling-mounted pendant light from the well-regarded American brand Feiss. It features a wide, shallow conical shade in a dark, textured finish consistent with an oil-rubbed or aged bronze effect, suspended via a rigid vertical downrod from a circular ceiling canopy. Three Edison-style bulbs with exposed filaments are arranged radially beneath the shade, framed by a decorative spoke-like cage detail on the underside — a reference to the protective lamp cages of industrial heritage fittings, now recast as an architectural detail.

The design suits interiors that lean into warmth and atmosphere — restaurants, bars, kitchen islands, and dining areas where the fitting is as much a focal point as a light source. The broad shade diameter casts a generous pool of downward light, making it practical over tables or counters as well as visually grounding in open-plan spaces.

This fitting is rated IP20 and intended for dry interior use. It uses E27 lamp holders — E27 refers to the standard screw-cap base size widely used across Europe. The Litec Edison-style lamp referenced in the product data is an 8W, 800 lm unit at 3000K (a warm white colour temperature) with amber glass, and is noted as dimmable. Confirm dimmer compatibility with your chosen control system before specifying, as not all dimmers work with all LED lamp types. The fitting carries a standard 2-year warranty.

At Lightsource Mallorca, we work through the specification details so you do not have to discover them on site. Whether you are coordinating a restaurant fit-out, a villa dining room, or a kitchen renovation, we can help you confirm lamp compatibility, dimming approach, and installation requirements before anything is ordered — the right product, correctly specified, delivered on time.
