Feiss Allier Pendant

Choosing a statement pendant is rarely just about aesthetics. The real risk is specifying something that looks right in a render but feels wrong in the room — too heavy visually, too harsh in its light output, or simply out of step with the material palette around it.

For a pendant to work in a living space or dining setting, it needs to do two things well: anchor the room visually and deliver light that feels comfortable. Diffused ambient illumination — light that spreads softly rather than pooling in one spot — is what makes a space feel considered rather than functional. The material of the frame matters too; natural wood introduces warmth and texture in a way no painted finish can replicate.

The Feiss Allier Pendant is a design-led response to exactly that challenge. From the American brand Feiss, the Allier collection takes its name from a French forest whose timber is used in winemaking — and that provenance is more than decorative detail. The light oak used in the spherical outer frame is kiln-dried to prevent cracking over time, making it a practical as well as beautiful choice for interior specification. A cylindrical opal glass diffuser sits at the centre of the orb, softening the light source and casting a warm ambient glow outward through the open wooden slats.

The armillary-style cage construction — a spherical open frame reminiscent of a navigational globe — creates visual volume without visual weight. Vertical curved slats in medium-toned natural oak surround the central diffuser in a symmetrical, rhythmic pattern. Brushed silver-toned metal hardware, including the ceiling canopy, chain, and mounting rod, provides a clean contrast to the warmth of the wood. The chain suspension allows for adjustable hanging height at installation, giving flexibility across different ceiling heights.

Rated IP20, the Allier is suited to dry interior environments. It is not specified for use in bathrooms or high-humidity spaces. Lamp type and driver requirements should be confirmed at point of order; the open-frame design accommodates a central light source accessed via the diffuser. A two-year warranty is included as standard.

At Lightsource Mallorca, we work with design professionals and self-builders alike to match the right product to the right space — factoring in ceiling height, room proportion, and the wider material story of a project. The Feiss Allier is the kind of piece that earns its place in a specification: distinctive, considered, and grounded in real material craft.
