Feiss Allier Pendant

Pendant lighting in living and dining spaces lives or dies on one decision: does the form hold its own when seen from every angle? A piece that looks striking head-on but flat from the side, or that loses its character once lit, is a specification regret waiting to happen.

For statement pendants like this, the key considerations are silhouette, light distribution, and material authenticity. Open-frame designs cast light freely in all directions — no shade means no shadow zones — and the lamp type becomes part of the visual. Candelabra-style bulbs are chosen as much for their appearance as their output, so lamp selection matters both aesthetically and technically.

The Feiss Allier Pendant answers these questions with a confident brief. Feiss is an American brand with a long track record in decorative lighting, and the Allier range takes its name from a French forest whose oak is traditionally used for wine barrels. The orb frame is built from kiln-dried aged oak — kiln-drying removes residual moisture to prevent warping or cracking over time — finished with a weathered grey-brown tone that shows genuine wood grain texture. A matte black metal hub and chain suspension anchor the structure and carry four candelabra lamp positions, with flame-shaped clear bulbs housed symmetrically within the orb.

The design is transitional in character: rustic in material, architectural in geometry. The intersecting flat wooden bands create a layered silhouette that shifts and changes depending on the viewing angle — a quality that rewards larger rooms and higher ceilings where the form can be read fully. The open structure means light radiates outward in all directions, making it well-suited to dining tables, entrance halls, or any space where warm, ambient atmosphere is the goal.

The Allier Pendant is rated IP20, making it suitable for dry interior spaces. It is not suitable for bathrooms or covered outdoor areas. Four candelabra lamp positions require E14 bulbs — lamp type and wattage should be confirmed at specification stage to ensure the right balance of warmth and output. If dimming is required, confirm dimmer compatibility with your chosen lamp before installation.

At Lightsource Mallorca, we work with decorative pendants like the Allier as part of a considered specification process — matching the right piece to the right space, confirming lamp and control compatibility before the order is placed, and coordinating lead times to keep your project on track. It is the kind of detail that turns a good-looking light into a lighting solution that actually works.
