Elstead Windermere Chandelier

Choosing a chandelier for a traditional or rustic interior comes with a familiar tension: finding something that feels genuinely crafted rather than mass-produced, and that holds its character over time rather than dating quickly. The wrong choice can undermine an entire room scheme.

For decorative pendants and chandeliers, what matters most is build quality, finish durability, and how the light actually disperses through a space. An open-frame design, for instance, casts light in every direction without the shadow restrictions of a shade — ideal where ambient warmth and atmosphere are the goal.

The Elstead Windermere Chandelier is a three-light ceiling suspension from Elstead Lighting, a well-established UK manufacturer with a long tradition in decorative ironwork. The Windermere range centres on wrought iron construction styled with rustic simplicity, and this fitting reflects that intent closely. It carries an IP20 rating, making it suitable for dry interior spaces such as living rooms, dining rooms, and entrance halls.

The frame features two sweeping arms that curve outward and loop back to a central convergence point, with a third socket positioned at the base. Fleur-de-lis-style scrollwork decorates the top junction, and gold-toned wire wrapping at key junctions adds a contrasting warmth to the dark finish. The hand-finished Rust/Gold Patina gives each fitting a subtly individual character — honest rather than decorative for decoration's sake. The open-frame silhouette suits traditional, rustic, and modern-farmhouse interior schemes with equal ease.

The chandelier is suspended via a matching dark metal chain, with height adjustable at installation. It accepts three candelabra-base (E14) lamps — flame-tip LED bulbs are widely available and recommended for energy efficiency and longevity. Lamps are not included. The IP20 rating confirms this fitting is intended for dry interior zones only.

At Lightsource Mallorca, we work with brands like Elstead precisely because their ranges are engineered to perform as well as they photograph. The Windermere Chandelier is a considered specification choice for clients who want authentic craftsmanship without the lead-time uncertainty of bespoke ironwork — the right product at the right price, sourced and coordinated as part of a wider project if needed.
