Elstead Gotham 1 Light Wall Light

Decorative wall lights often look effortless on a mood board and then cause headaches on site — the wrong finish, a missing lamp, or a fitting that simply doesn't carry the room. Getting the detail right from the start saves time and protects the scheme.

For a decorative wall light like this, the key decisions centre on aesthetic coherence (does the finish work with adjacent hardware and furniture tones?) and practical readiness (is the lamp included, and will it dim on your existing circuit?). This fitting is hardwired directly to an interior wall surface, so placement and cable routing should be confirmed at first-fix stage.

The Elstead Gotham 1 Light Wall Light is a decorative wall sconce inspired by the dramatic interplay of light and shadow within Manhattan's urban landscape. It combines a polished metal frame with a matte black fabric shade and a clear glass sphere held in place by curved metal supports — a composition that reads as contemporary Art Deco: high contrast, considered, and confident in a room. The fitting is supplied complete with 1 × 3W G9 LED (3000K, 350 lm, dimmable), so it arrives ready to install without a separate lamp hunt.

The design pairs polished metalwork with a matte black drum shade and an oversized glass ball that refracts light at the base — giving the fitting a dual character: restrained from a distance, detailed up close. It is available in Imperial Silver or Brushed Brass, allowing it to sit comfortably within both cooler, monochrome interiors and warmer, more layered schemes.

Dimensions are H 330mm × W 229mm × P 178mm. The fitting is designed for hardwired interior wall installation via a rectangular metal backplate. The included G9 LED is dimmable — confirm your existing dimmer switch is G9 LED compatible before installation, as not all dimmers work with low-wattage LED sources. No separate driver or transformer is required for this lamp type. The product carries a 2-year guarantee.
