Elstead Stockholm Outdoor Post Light

Exterior lighting specification throws up a recurring problem: fixtures that look convincing in a brochure but fail in the real world — wrong IP rating for the exposure level, finishes that corrode, or designs that read as decorative rather than resolved. Path and driveway lighting especially needs to work hard, day and night, in whatever weather Mallorca delivers.

For low-level exterior illumination, IP rating is your first filter. IP54 means the fitting is protected against dust ingress and water splashing from any direction — appropriate for exposed garden paths, driveways, and landscaped areas where the fixture will face wind-driven rain and irrigation. It's a credible exterior rating for post and bollard applications that aren't in direct water flow or submersion zones.

The Elstead Stockholm Outdoor Post Light is a specification-grade exterior post light from Elstead, one of the UK's most established lighting manufacturers. The Stockholm's architectural silhouette — a wide, flat disc-shaped top shade paired with a cylindrical clear glass enclosure — gives it a strong presence without visual noise. Three horizontal protective rings wrap the glass housing, reducing glare from certain angles while adding an industrial-influenced graphic detail to the form. The entire assembly sits on a central post that flares into a circular base, pre-drilled for secure fixing to concrete, stone, or paving.

The design manages to balance modern minimalism with structural intent: the rings are functional as well as decorative, and the matte finish reads well against both contemporary and classic exterior schemes. The Stockholm is available in two finishes — Black and Galvanized — allowing it to complement a range of architectural palettes, from stark monochrome exteriors to more rustic or industrial-influenced settings.

The flared circular base includes four pre-drilled fixing holes for straightforward anchoring to a flat surface. Confirm lamp type, wattage, and any dimming requirements at the specification stage, and ensure your electrician is briefed on post base cable entry before groundworks are completed — it's the kind of detail that saves rework later.

At Lightsource Mallorca, we work with products like the Stockholm because they make specification decisions easier, not harder. Clear IP credentials, two resolved finish options, and a design that holds up under scrutiny — this is the kind of fixture that earns its place in a project. We'll help you confirm lamp compatibility, coordinate lead times, and make sure the right product arrives at the right moment in your build sequence.
